Lycoris straminea Koukei Vinca Hippeastrum pampeanum is a newLycoris x straminea 'Koukei' is a rarely available surprise lily hybrid (Lycoris radiata x chinensis) from Japan's famed Komoriya nursery. For us, it bursts out of the ground in mid September, with 2' tall stalks, each topped with a cluster of red based, peachy buds, that open to narrow, frilly petaled flowers that are peachy orange with a yellow edge quite stunning.
